How to Import a GPX Route to XOSS NAV or NAV+

Get a GPX route, use the GPX-to-RO converter for XOSS NAV and NAV+, then copy the generated file to your navigation device with a USB-C data cable.

Complete route-import workflow

  1. Export or download your planned route as a GPX file.
  2. Open the XOSS NAV/NAV+ GPX-to-RO converter, choose the GPX, convert it, and download the resulting .ro file.
  3. Connect the XOSS NAV or XOSS NAV+ with a USB-C data connection.
  4. Copy the .ro file into the root-level /Routes folder.
  5. Wait for copying to finish, then safely eject and disconnect.
  6. Select the new route from Routebook on the XOSS device.

Use a data-capable cable. A charge-only USB-C cable can power the device but cannot expose its storage.

Windows, Linux, and macOS

  1. Connect the XOSS NAV or NAV+ to the computer with a USB-C data cable.
  2. Open the device storage in File Explorer on Windows, Files on Linux, or Finder on macOS.
  3. Open the folder named Routes at the root of the device storage.
  4. Copy the generated .ro file into /Routes.
  5. Wait for the copy to finish, then safely eject or unmount the device.
  6. Disconnect the USB-C cable.

Android phone or tablet

  1. Connect the XOSS NAV or NAV+ to Android with a USB-C data cable or a suitable USB-C adapter.
  2. If Android displays a USB prompt, allow file transfer or access to the connected storage.
  3. Open the connected XOSS storage in the Android file manager.
  4. Open the root-level Routes folder.
  5. Copy the downloaded .ro file into /Routes.
  6. Wait for the copy to complete, safely disconnect, and select the route from Routebook on the XOSS device.

If the device storage does not appear

The RO format is proprietary and firmware behaviour can vary, so keep the original GPX and test an important route before a trip.
